Our Family Story Since 1962
Humpty Dumpty Kitchen has been a Grass Valley favorite for over 60 years. My grandpa opened our first restaurant in 1962, and it’s been in our family ever since. My parents carried it forward, and in 1983, my brothers and I took the lead. I stepped away for a few years, but in 2013, my wife and I bought back the remaining share and kept the family legacy alive.
Rebuilding with Heart
Our restaurant at 1711 E Main St has been our home since 1978. In 2012, a fire destroyed the building—but it didn’t destroy our spirit. We rebuilt, added a second story, and reopened in 2013 stronger than ever. Every meal we serve today is a reminder of our resilience and the community that stood by us.
What We’re Known For
People know us best for our hearty breakfasts and juicy burgers, but we’re just as proud of our dinner menu. We want everyone in Grass Valley to think of us as the place to gather morning, noon, or night. From pancakes to steak dinners, we cook every dish with care and consistency.
